OpenPLM Professional Network

OpenPLM Professional Network aims to develop expertise and professional skills around OpenPLM business software.

In addition to the benefits of the OpenPLM community, Professional Networks members have privileged access to ressources to use, install, administrate and develop efficiently with the support of  LinObject, the company which edit OpenPLM.

Professional Networks is also an opportunity to discuss and share best practices between members, always in a professional context.

OpenPLM Professional Network aims to create a stronger momentum respecting the mutual interest of all members and  LinObject :

  • strengthening the teams that are engaged in ownership of OpenPLM

  • extending the Community of industrial users meanwhile the adoption of open source technologies increases

Today, LinObject staff is the core developper of OpenPLM. Based on this know-how we select the best of OpenPLM community and integrate it in stable versions.

Being member of OpenPLM Professional Community gives access to the last stable version which includes :

Access to a forum for professionals

OpenPLM Professional Network members have access to a private and dedicated forum. LinObject staff monitors this forum, follows-up exchanges, creates topics and generaly speaking makes its expertise available to memebers.

Members can get informations about development strategy and roadmap. They can also disccus and suggest new functions.

OpenPLM Professional Network members have access to a dedicated social network and can freely exchange about all aspects.

LinObject staff pays specific attention to all tickets created by OpenPLM Professional Network members. If it's an "enhancement" ticket, technical feasibility is evaluated and Members along with LinObject can decide to include it in the OpenPLM roadmap.

LinObject staff pays specific attention to all tickets created by OpenPLM Professional Network members. If it's a "defect" ticket, technical feasibility is evaluated and bug corrected as soon as possible.

Microsoft® Office / Outlook® connectors

LinObject develops and maintains Microsoft® Office software connectors.

While staying in Microsoft® Office, users can :

  • Authenticate using password
  • Create Document
  • Create links between objects
  • Check-in/download files in OpenPLM vault
  • Check-out/download files from OpenPLM vault
  • Create new version of Documents

OpenPLM Prefessional Network members are granted with one named licence for Microsoft® Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and one named licence for Microsoft® Outlook®.

Other business software connectors

Based on its experience developping Office connectors, LinObject is developping and will develop other business software connectors (Solidworks, CATIA V5, ...).

OpenPLM Professional Network members are granted with -20% reduction on all fees charged for connectors proposed by LinObject.
