Navigate - Replace Drag & Drop function for link creation

Description

Hi,
At the moment, in navigate mode, we can drag an object from search results and drop it in the current navigate box. It creates a link.

May be, it isn't the best way to do it.

What about a button for each object of the result ? When we click on the button, it opens a dialog box for link creation between the selected object and the current one.

Thanks.
Philippe

  • Owner set to pcosquer
  • Status changed from new to accepted
  • Component changed from models & controllers to navigate

Each result could look like this:

Type reference revision + | L
summary

where + and L are two buttons (+ --> add child, L --> link document/part)
Each button would appear only if the underlying action can be done and only on mouse over.

To implement this, dnd stuff in media/js/navigate.js could be replaced with a hover listener on each result.

The main difficulty is to find nice icons ;)
